Hi there!
How are you doing?
Now tell me, when was the last time you did a random act of kindness?
Most likely, it would’ve been for a friend, family member someone you love. Some flowers, chocs maybe.
And of course, there will be a random acts of kindness you’ve done without realising. Sending a positive message to someone, finding lost property rather than keeping it for yourself.
Complimenting someone randomly or giving some much needed encouragement or advice.
How to actively pursue random acts of kindness

1. COMPLETE AN ACT OF KINDNESS CONSCIOUSLY
I started to consciously complete at least one specific random act of kindness once a week.
And now it’s so habitual I don’t actively think of what next because opportunities are everywhere
And a pandemic did not stop me- in fact it created more opportunities
Gifting a care package for someone when they feel so alone, making some food and dropping it off, sending some advice on how to keep your hair healthy.
These are just a few examples of random acts of kindness and most of the time it goes unnoticed and people forget what you did for them.
But that’s not the point of why you do random acts of kindness it isn’t for recognition or praise.
2. REMEMBER YOU MUST NOT BE EXPECTING TO RECEIVE SOMETHING BACK
When you are completing a random act of kindness do not expect a thank you or something back. Being truly kind is a giving attitude and ego/bitterness does not play a part
If you do something kind expecting the person to one day treat you back, then your act of kindness is invalid
You must appreciate those who have a giving nature with no hidden intentions will always receive abundance in their lives in one way or another
Successful kind people do not relying on people for abundance. Successful people create their own abundance.
3. WRITE IT DOWN AS ONE OF YOUR '5 THINGS TO BE GRATEFUL FOR'
So those who have read my ‘self image gratitude post’ will know I actively write 5 things I’m grateful for at the end of my day in my gratitude journal
One of those things at least once a week will consist of the random act of kindness I completed
This is incredibly joyous as your energy is vested into making your world a place of light and understanding kindness starts with you. You focus on the positive things in life and appreciate what you bring to the world; no matter how little or large an action may be.
And that is how I practice Random Acts of Kindness and I felt it would be useful for you to do the same.
Go try it and embed it into your life
Lots of love to you xoxo
