Hey hey.
I hope you have been enjoying the exercises so far and answering the questions to yourself just like I have. (Remember anything I write on here has been trialled and tested by me)
Today's post is about instant gratification and how you can remove this concept from your life entirely and completely switch it up to delayed gratification.
How did I remove it?
1. Write what you want now with a deadline on it
E.g. I want to travel 6 months out of the year
When? How? What are you doing now to achieve this?
Write a deadline on it.
I am grateful I am working towards travelling 6 months out of the year by December 2022.
Can you see the power of changing what you want now simply by your change of words.
By putting a deadline on it, you start to move towards delayed gratification (which reaps longer term rewards)
2 Have a game plan
This is where you now know what you want to achieve by a certain deadline
but it’s time you action this and turn it into a reality
What are the smaller milestones that are required to achieve travelling 6 months a year?
Quit my job by... Accumulate streams of income by...
Have shorter goals with tighter deadlines to help you along the way.
It is very important you have a game plan so you can get what you want in life
3. Remind yourself everyday of delayed gratification
Whatever it is you want, remind yourself everyday of this through words of affirmations on your phone, your bedroom wall, your bathroom, your wallet, your car dashboard.
Doing this will keep you disciplined and patient.
E.g. Keep a goal card with you 'I am happy and grateful now I travelling 6 months out of the year by December 2022'
Do it in your own style of reminding yourself of what you want now.
Choose 1 goal and break it down.
This is how wealth and abundance enters your life on a daily basis.
Learn to love delayed gratification- it's the key to success
Lots of love to you
